Another week in Basic Buddhism and this time we focus our attention to the Noble Eightfold Path. It is said that during the night of his enlightenment the Buddha came to the realization that neither extreme sensual pleasure nor extreme physical denial provided the liberation from the suffering in life that he sought. Instead, it was finding a ‘Middle Way’ between these extremes that solved this problem. A Middle Way that provides us with guides using wisdom, morality and concentration to skillfully live our daily lives. This ‘Middle Way’ is the last of the Four Noble Truths, the Noble Eightfold Path. Join us tonight, 19 Feb @7pm as we explore this first teaching of the Buddha and learn how to apply its principles throughout our lives.
